Located in the heart of the town between the Old Port and the Stock Exchange, Marseille Archaeological Park, the famous Jardin des Vestiges, exhibits some ruins of the Roman fortified walls dating back to the 3rd century BC, an old gate, some towers, narrow streets and a quay.
Close to Marseille Archaeological Park there is Marseille History Museum that exhibits ancient Greek and Roman remnants, especially a 3rd century Roman vessel.
The Roman Docks Museum is located in the area of the Old Port where the ruins of the warehouses of the old Roman Port were found. It exhibits ancient oil, wine and wheat amphoras and finds of old vessels.
The European and Mediterranean Civilizations Museum is located in Saint-Jean Fort and features a wide archaeological collection all to discover.
